Final episode lineup:
- June 8: "The First Five"
- June 15: "See No Weevil"
- June 22: "Face Full of Fear"
- June 29: "Emperor's Rule"
^ That episode isn't a standalone. Still no news on it.
Though I personally didn't think too highly of the series, the way Legends of Awesomeness has ended makes me sad.
^ Never really had faith in Nickelodeon doing it justice. It was one of their better works, but their scheduling and management is still complete crap. I'm really hoping that if another spinoff shows up, it will be with some other network.
Update: "Emperor's Rule" will be airing the following Wednesday after the remaining 3 standalones, thereby completing the series. Yay!
Rest in peace, Legends of Awesomeness. Like many other shows, you fell victim to Nickelodeon's poor management and low production standards. You still had the best fighting chance, though. May you one day find retribution in some other generation of kids that decide to watch you.
Now, here's hoping a new and better KFP series is in the works! :D
i do hope for another series too. for LOA though, it's been an incredible ride
About to watch Emperor's Rule.
It's sad the way LOA was handled, but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy some of it (it is KFP after all, well, sort of). If you think about it, this could be the last major KFP event ever. There's no guarentee a fourth film, a new series, or new shorts will be made. So, in a way (however unlikely), this could be the last time we see new KFP material.
Even if tons of new KFP adventures are released in the future (which is likely), it's still sad to see LOA go. Rest in peace Legends of Awesomeness.
Despite all the criticism towards it, LoA did have some good stuff. "Crane on a Wire" has to be my favorite episode. "The Secret Museum of Kung Fu" was also pretty good.
But, I don't plan on watching the final episodes, since I'm just not that interested in LoA anymore, and my opinions about it has grown more negative as it's dragged on. It also didn't help that "Shifu's Ex" was the start of the final season (least favorite episode ever, though the follow-up "Crazy Little Ling Called Love" might be even worse judging by the summary).
Still, I actually like some LoA episodes more than KFP 2, and maybe a few more than KFP 3. And if both Madagascar and HTTYD can have two shows, who knows what's in store for the franchise? I'd be open to DreamWorks having another shot at a show, just not with Nickelodeon.
