In time before the Lotus, before history, the world was once a great landmass, Pangea. Some of the people who lived there had the power to control the elements and lived in peace. One day, some of the inhabitants decided to rule Pangaea with an iron fist and destroy anyone in their way. A team of elemental warriors banded together to stop them and used their own magic to create four weapons that could trap them forever.

Ultimately, the warriors won the battle using the weapons. But when they did, the elements were thrown off balance, and the world split apart. Certain that their weapons were far too powerful and dangerous for one to be used, the four warriors hid them in places where no one could find them.

Trivia[]

  • The fact that all four elemental warriors lived in the same place at the same time is a real-world historical inaccuracy, as all four species would have lived in different locations at different times.[source?]
  • The Ancient Masters share similarities with the Original Four Constellations from Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny, in that they are four warriors and original wielders of special powers who banded together to subdue ancient evil forces.
