Race Tracks[]
Three locations from the Kung Fu Panda series appear as race tracks. One cup features a couple of tracks fitting to its theme.
- Panda Village (Dragon Warrior Cup)
- Spirit Realm (Dragon Warrior Cup)
- Gongmen City (Once Upon a Time Cup)
The Panda Village features many of the resident pandas cheering on the racers. It is Po's home track.
The Spirit Realm has many references to specific areas and elements from the location. The golden motifs seen in Kung Fu Panda three make up portions of the track itself. A version of the Peach Tree Hill where Oogway resided in the realm can also be spotted. During the second lap of the track, drivers will be confronted by Kai, who is using his duel swords to destroy the road. It is Master Shifu and Grand Master Oogway's home track.
Gongmen City has racers speed through the inner city itself, as well as the docks containing ships once belonging to the Peacocks. The Tower of Sacred Flame is also visible, but is hard to spot. A giant Dragon Puppet is also a stage hazard in a fork in the road, doing laps around that part of the track. It is Tigress' home track.
Items[]
- Noodle Cart - A drop hazard which, if it comes in contact with an opponent, will splatter noodles on the screen for a short time.
- Yin Yang Shield - A shield that can protect players and stop opponents.
- Kai's Swords - Knocks out nearby racers and provides a speed boost.
Each character also has a special item that works as a projectile or hazard depending on where it's aimed. They also function as collectable "lucky tokens" and personal symbols for the racers.
- Dumpling (Po)
- Red Lantern (Tigress)
- Master Shifu's Staff (Master Shifu)
- Peach (Grand Master Oogway)
Voice Cast[]
- Mick Wingert as Po
- Jane Perry as Tigress
- Fred Tatasciore as Master Shifu
- Randall Duk Kim as Grand Master Oogway
Trivia[]
- The franchise visibly gets top billing in the game alongside Shrek, having the first cup and second most amount of playable reps from the series.
- Randall Duk Kim is the only actor to reprise his role from the original films in the entire game.
- Grand Master Oogway and Death have access to a selection of custom parts designed to represent the famous DreamWorks logo (the blue clouds as the chassis and the Moon Child on the tires).
- The game features full voice acting, complete with banter between the characters. Many lines have the characters call each other out by name, or through name calling.
- The decision to include voice acting was a partial response to negative feedback over the first two Nickelodeon Kart Racers games not featuring voices.
- The Trolls were initially planned to be playable racers. However, due to the size of the characters and disagreements with sizing them up to fit the karts, they were retooled into power-ups.
