The First Valley Crisis refers to the conflict that occurred when Tai Lung wanted the Dragon Scroll. All events from this conflict took place in Kung Fu Panda.

Background

The crisis began when Master Oogway refused to award Tai Lung the title of Dragon Warrior (and thus receive the Dragon Scroll and the "secret to limitless power" it held inside). Feeling confused and betrayed, Tai Lung laid waste to the Valley of Peace and later returned to the Jade Palace to try and take the scroll by force. But he was stopped Oogway and was convicted to a lifetime sentence in Chorh-Gom Prison.

Outcome

The Valley crisis ended when Tai Lung found out there was no literal power inside the scroll. He instead attacked Po, but was defeated by his use of the Wuxi Finger Hold.
