This ability is primarily used for making things explode on contact and causing living beings to become paralyzed. When preforming several gestures the hands glow bright white and when implanted on something or someone they glow bright white before hitting the ground with their hand exploding/to detonate whatever they strikes. They also might immobilize their victim for a second (and then the exploding part happens) possibly by hitting their pressure points or to simply knock them out. It is implied to be a difficult technique as Shifu had to pretend to be an old man in order to analyze Pai Mei's moves.
History[]
In Legends of Awesomeness[]
The Five-Finger Exploding Fist is one of the most secret and difficult Kung Fu moves in the world. Pai Mei, during her exile at sea, learned the move and decided to use it against Shifu. She used it for the first time against two of Chorh-Ghom's guards and later several times against Shifu, Po, and the Furious Five. Eventually, Shifu, after studying Pai Mei's moves, learned the move and defeated him.
Trivia[]
- Though unconfirmed, this technique may have been inspired by the "Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique" from the Kill Bill movies.
- Ironically, neither of the characters who use this technique have five fingers on either hand.
