Biography
In Kung Fu Panda
As JR Shaw and his brother KG Shaw made their way to the Jade Palace for the Dragon Warrior Tournament, they passed by a distressed Po, who was struggling to bring his father's noodle cart up the long staircase. Seeing his plight and predicting he wouldn't be able to make it to the tournament in time, the two brothers sympathized with him briefly. JR Shaw then offered to bring him back a souvenir from the tournament, to which they continued their way up the stairs.

Trivia
- The "JR" in his name are the initials of his voice actor, Jason "JR" Reed, who associated a lot with Jack Black's band Tenacious D and also had a role in their movie, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny.
- JR Shaw and his brother KG Shaw were named in homage to the Shaw Brothers Studio, known for producing many of the kung fu films from the 1970s.[2]
