The Kung Fu Shoes is the unofficial name of a pair of legendary magic shoes that grant the wearer masterful power in Kung Fu. They appeared in the episode "Kung Shoes" from Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, where Po used them to boost his own Kung Fu skills.
Appearance
A pair of blue and red shoes designed to look like they had jaws filled with sharp teeth, which clamp shut when one puts on the shoes. When worn, the shoes give the wearer vast kung fu abilities. However, when worn for more than two hours, the shoes come alive and develop an insatiable taste for destruction as a result, and the wearer becomes unable to remove them. As a result, the wearer is forced to destroy everything and everyone around them, before eventually becoming destroyed themselves.

What their history was before they came into the possession of Wupo is unknown, but long ago Wupo gave them to the Gilded Emperor so he could rid his kingdom of evil. With his new powers, the Emperor succeeded in his mission, but did not take off the shoes after two hours. As a result, the Emperor became possessed by the shoes and laid waste to the very kingdom he had sought to save, afterwards ending up destroyed himself. After these tragic events, the shoes came back into Wupo's possession.
History
In Legends of Awesomeness
The shoes would not be worn again until the episode Kung Shoes, when Po came across them during a trip to the black market. Wishing to find a way to perform the impossible three needles trick and therefore never have to train again, Po took a great interest in the shoes and purchased them from Wupo, leaving before she could warn him about the two hour deadline. Po took the shoes to the training hall and put them on. Sure enough, they proved to be as powerful as Wupo had claimed. Unfortunately Po decided to keep them on overnight to break into them, and while he slept the two hour deadline passed and the shoes came alive.
Unaware of the new danger, Po woke up the next day and performed the three needles trick in front of the Furious Five and Master Shifu, leaving them speechless. Afterwards Po ventured down to the noodle shop to visit his father, and it was there that he realised that something was wrong; while he was in the shop he began inexplicably perfoming excessive kung fu all over the shop, unable to control his own body. He eventually began destroying the shop, and very nearly attacked Mr. Ping, stopping only when the goose threw water at him as he recoiled. When the water touched the shoes, it burned them and caused to stop their rampage.
