- This article is about the villain from Kung Fu Panda: Tales of Po. For other uses, see Mei Ling (disambiguation).
Mei Ling is a leopard who serves as an antagonist in the online game Kung Fu Panda: Tales of Po, though notably she is not truly evil. She first appeared in the game's tenth chapter level entitled "The Legendary Harp of Legend".
As a skilled harpist, Mei Ling was invited to play at the Emperor's birthday celebration, but felt that her trusty harp was too battered and ordinary for such an affair. As such, she searched for what she felt was a more fitting instrument, only to find a harp with evil power that possessed her and caused her to threaten China. Fortunately, Po and the Furious Five succeeded in freeing her from the harp's influence, though Po then startled her and Shifu by his playing on her original harp. Later, when Fenghuang escaped from Chorh-Gom Prison, Mei Ling was shown to have been possessed again, but was once again freed.
Little is specifically known about Mei Ling, though she is truly cunning in her ways.
It is not known if Mei Ling is ordinarily a fighter, as she has only been seen in battle while under the control of the cursed harp. The harp causes her to float in the air and allows her to unleash energy blasts, similar to the musical Kung fu demonstrated by the Yaoguai. She could also throw the harp, causing it to spin like a buzz saw.
