PLEASE look through the FAQs on my profile page. You'll be doing me a HUGE favor by saving me the time in answering the same questions over and over again.
A bit silly to list this, but sadly, I must: Do not ask me about things that I couldn't possibly know. Again, from my FAQ: I do not work for DreamWorks, nor am I an expert in all topics related to movies, or television, or animation, etc. So please refrain from asking me things like when something will be released, or why something is taking so long to release. I'll typically answer these with, "I don't know, sorry," because I really don't know what else to say.
Please do your research before asking me. I get a lot of questions that require me to do something that you could easily do yourself - e.g. asking me for the translation and meaning of a piece of foreign text, or asking me for updates on a particular piece of media, etc. Please be polite and do the research yourself first before asking me about it.
Please do not ask me to look at/visit/read/view/etc. something of yours. I'm quite a busy person and unfortunately do not have the time to look at everyone's stuff.
Hi again! I'm just dropping by to let you know of a new scheme introduced at Fandom called Editor Rewards. This is a great new scheme designed to reward editors on Fandom, with merchandise ranging from free video games, hoodies, collectibles, and more!
To find out more about the scheme, please feel free to read the Introduction to Editor Rewards blog post Fandom staff posted. Also, please do leave feedback in the comments section of that blog as staff will be able to respond quickly and answer any questions you may have.
Hey! Just letting you know Fandom plans to extend a test it's running on other wikis to this one. It aims at improving the search engine ranking for wikis including this one.
Some details: We will be automatically redirecting anonymous users who land on file pages to the first article page that the file is used on. Our hope is that this will help anonymous users find what they're looking for more easily. During the test, we'll measure whether this has a positive impact on search engine rankings.
Logged-in users will see absolutely no change, so you may not notice anything of this test - I'm just letting you know out of courtesy and in case anonymous users approach you with questions.
This feature includes some really insightful statistics that should allow you guys to inform some wiki decisions, such as:
Top viewed pages
# of page views (daily over the past 30 days)
Most visited files
Desktop vs mobile sessions
So as I mentioned above, this feature is really great as it allows you to see what areas are doing very well and how you can capitalise on them. For example, one of your current most popular articles is Tai Lung, even above Po! As readers are interested in that, you could perhaps start a Discussions post that talks about Tai Lung to get the community involved, being sure to link the article there of course.
Hopefully you like this feature, it's been highly requested for some time and we would really appreciate your feedback on it. For more help with it, please feel free to ask me questions and also refer to these two super useful articles:
I had been wondering for quite a while, how did you make the Featured Quote system? I tried to see what it uses and all, and I could only pull out the two templates (Featured Quote & Quote-feat), as well as the two CSS codes from Wikia.css regarding the button. Is that all or is there anything else which I left out?
EDIT: Turns out that image originates from a site using illegal means to display the show, so I removed the image. A reminder that per the wiki's Discussion Policy, there can't be anything from or any discussion of such sources on this wiki. You probably didn't know, so no harm done for now, but please check your sources next time.
Excuse me,but I have a little problem in this Wiki,or more specifically,a problem with a new article.
1.I dont know how to insert Pictures here, since I´ve done it only in german wikis before, and there,it was much easier, can you help me out with that? I need to insert a picture for my Article about Shens´ Artillery gun factory.
I don't know if it's my imagination or what, but I noticed that the answers wikia for Kung Fu Panda is no longer linked, and is not appearing at all when I try to search for it on google. Did that wiki for some reason get shut down, or was it moved smewhere else? Thank you for your response ahead of time.
All Answers wikis were removed across the Fandom platform, having their domains redirected to whatever main wiki it was for (if any). It was one step in a large effort by Fandom to rebrand and re-sort all their website domains.
Answers wikis were also apparently not receiving much technical support in the past (and as an admin of one I could definitely see that - it was a pretty messy system). Its primary function of "ask a question and get an answer from the community" has now been replaced with modern functions like improved web search and forum/chat feeds, both of which are supported by the main wikis.
So Answers wikis basically ran out their usefulness, and Fandom noticed that and decided to "sunset" them.
