Please look through the FAQs on my profile page. You'll be doing me a HUGE favor by saving me the time in answering the same questions over and over again.
Please don't ask me about things that I couldn't possibly know. From my FAQ: I do not work for DreamWorks, nor am I an expert in all topics related to movies, or television, or animation, etc. Therefore, I don't know when the next Kung Fu Panda thing is releasing.
Please do your own research first before asking me.
Please don't ask me to look at/visit/read/view/etc. something of yours. I'm very busy and unfortunately don't have time to look at everyone's stuff.
Please don't ask me to make something for you. Yes, I can use Photoshop. No, I'm not open to requests. Again, I'm very busy.
For some reason when I reply to messages on this wall they either vanish or end up in a different thread. My comment about the KFP book was made in response to TheGreatYing's message but it ended up in Tekyuzuk's thread instead, so sorry if that caused confusion. From now on I might just have to respond to posts by starting a new thread instead of posting a reply directly to the thread. Sorry if my messages are causing confusion!
Ah yeah, I think I possibly had the same problem on my end as well. Tried to reply last night and it unfortunately didn't go through. Anyways, I also have the first artbook and would be glad to help and see what can be added!
Quite possible, could just be for the entire Fandom Wiki's at times, tho I'm not certain of the logistics of that stuff. Anyways appreciate the quick responses. (Edit; Also thanks Sandshadow! I have it as well, but I bet there's something we can both mutually add if it's not here already.)
Hello! Haven't really been on here that much unfortunately, but I've been meaning to ask if there's any missing corresponding concept art that could be added in any of the entries that you possibly know of. Thank you!
No, sorry, I honestly can't think of any. The concept art is pretty extensive already, and I've never mentally kept track of what has and hasn't been covered.
EDIT: Actually, the only thing that comes to mind would be some concept art featured in the first "Art of" book. Some of it has been uploaded to the wiki over the years, but I'm sure there's probably more. However, there isn't any other easy/direct source for that missing art because the book is so rare now (and I unfortunately don't own a copy), hence why the wiki is probably missing some.
Hi there! I've done some minor edits on this wiki before but would like to help out more, though I want to make sure I am fulfilling the needs of this wiki by actually improving the articles instead of repeating redundant information. When a section needs "revising", would you be able to clarify the sorts of edits that need to be made? Is it a matter of fleshing out and adding information? Thank you!
It depends, honestly. I used to include something on another similar template where the person adding the template would specify what exactly needs to be changed, but no one was using it.
I now just generally use the "revise" template for sections of text that overall need to be "encyclopedia-fied" - grammar, wording, and depending on the text either expanding or cutting back on the amount of text (some of it is too short and not nearly detailed enough, and some is too long and embellished). Basically, if it seems like you wouldn't read it out of a professional encyclopedia, then it probably needs changes.
Hope that helps! And thanks for asking about it - nice to see someone showing genuine interest in improving the wiki's content. :)
Not really. As I said, I have no experience with it. I personally don't feel like there are "negative features" about this wiki because I don't have that disease. In other words, I don't know what you go through when you use the wiki. You know, however, therefore the only person who would know best about it in relationship to the wiki is yourself.
I also don't have any expert knowledge about it. If you see a professional for it, then they would have the advice you're looking for.
Thank you very much, I also wanted to ask you a favor, because I saw that you are the one in charge of the design and the wordmark here, could you make me a new wordmark? I just feel that the current one is too small, and thanks again
Sorry, I don't really dabble in that anymore. I haven't touched Photoshop in at least a year, and it would take too long to try and get it updated plus hunt down all the art assets I would need. I'm also too busy with life stuff - I definitely don't have the free time I used to.
Maybe Fandom has a wordmark design project team still going? I know they used to do that back when they still called themselves "Wikia". That's how this wiki got its first wordmark years ago before I remade it. So you could try looking for something like that?
Honestly I figured it was just another side project of DreamWorks, considering they've been continuously trying to push their stuff into the Chinese market. But if you found out it's unlicensed, then it definitely shouldn't be posted here. So again, thanks for letting me know about it. :)
Yet you're doing the same to me. Why else would you vaguely inform me of an instance where I used improper grammar? Couldn't be out of good faith, otherwise you would've just told me in your first post what/where it is. So how else was I going to react?
left you a discord message, unsure if you saw it. Unsure if I should post here...I do have a more up to date copy of the 4 page history lost though have import concerns since the version of mediawiki doesn't match
