Master Mongrel is a kung fu master who made a brief appearance in the Secrets of the Scroll. Ten years before the first Kung Fu Panda film, he came to the Jade Palace to warn Master Shifu of the approach of Boar.[1]
Biography
In Secrets of the Scroll
When word came that the warrior Boar was rampaging across China defeating any kung fu master that attempted to stop him, Master Mongrel made his way to the Jade Palace as fast as he could. Breathless with exhaustion from his journey, Mongrel told Shifu about Boar and how only he could stop him. What happened to him afterwards is not known.
