Master Snail is a kung fu master briefly mentioned in Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Master Snail's history, other than he was originally an inhabitant of the supercontinent Pangaea many millenaia before the Dragon Knight. At one point, Master Snail engaged in a violent duel with Master Mastodon, which ultimately resulted in Snail's death when Mastodon hacked him to piece with the Storm Wheels. Although Snail died a brutal death, the fight resulted in him earning Mastodon's respect, to the point that he later regretted killing Snail.
It is not known why Snail and Mastodon even fought each other, but since Mastodon used the Storm Wheels against him, Snail was probably a member of the evil army that wanted to conquer Pangaea at this time.
In The Dragon Knight[]
Master Snail is briefly mentioned in the episode "Mister Mastodon" when Po is reading through a comic detailing Mastodon's past exploits. Below is a picture of Mastodon's figt with Snail, to which Po's question Mastodon briefly and boastfully talks about the duel, but also notes that it was a shame that he had to kill Snail.

Master Mastodon described him as a very formidable opponent and that it was a shame he had to kill him. This implies that Master Snail must have been a very strong fighter, equal to Master Mastodon in battle, although he was eventually defeated by him.

Trivia[]
- In Po's comic, Mastodon is seen to have killed Snail by chopping him with the Storm Wheels. This would mean that Snail's soul would be imprisoned in the Tianshang Weapon upon his death, a fate that Mastodon would meet himself millennia later when he sacrificed himself for Po.
