Xiao's mother was the wife of Emperor Kang Zi, the biological mother of Xiao, and adoptive mother of Shi Long. Not much is known about her history or status.
Biography[]
In The Paws of Destiny[]
She and her husband, Emperor Kangzi, were saddened by the lack of children of their own until they found an infant Komodo dragon hatchling abandoned at their doorstep. Joyed, they adopted her as their daughter and she became their pride and joy.
However, some years later, the empress finally bore a biological daughter of her own, Princess Xiao. The minute Xiao was born, her parents shifted all their attention to her from Shi Long, leaving the latter feeling neglected and unloved.
It is unknown what became of her after this, though she most likely died.
Personality[]
She appeared to be kind-hearted, and a loving wife and mother. She was very sad because of her barrenness prior to finding Shi Long. After this, she became happy and doted on her adopted daughter. But the moment she give birth to her biological daughter, she shifted all her focus from Shi Long to Xiao.

Her husband[]
She appeared to love her husband very much, and he loved her back. They shared a mutual sadness in having no children of their own until adopted Shi Long.
Shi Long[]
The moment the empress and her husband found infant Shi Long, they loved her like a daughter. They doted on her for several years, with a strong mother-daughter bond between the two until Xiao was born, upon which she stated focusing on Xiao instead.
Xiao[]
The moment Xiao was born, her mother was so joyed that she shifted her attention from Shi Long to Xiao, by dint of ignoring Shi Long, showing how much she'd been wanting a biological child.
Xiao, however, seems to have no memory of her mother, implying that the empress must've died when Xiao was too young to remember her.
Clothing[]
The empress wore a lilac robe trimmed in gold with a gold sash and a gold coronet on her head.
