Queen Zuma is one of the main antagonists, albeit a neutral villain, in the second season of the Netflix series Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.
Biography[]
In The Dragon Knight[]
Zuma was the queen of Tikal; she found the Storm Wheels and use them to bring rain to her people; but it also causes a drought on Akna's lands. So, she and Alfred manage to take the other Storm Wheels off from Zuma. She then became a protector.
Personality[]
Zuma usually acts in friendly and excitable manners, seeming to be dramatic and fun-loving. She also cares her minions and citizens, and voluntary commends her guards. Zuma has been shown to have a love of music and dance, as she launches into a routine during her audience with Po, Ping, Wandering Blade, and Rukhmini.
She shows some heroic qualities, as she takes up the role of Protector in order to save her people, but this is countered by her questionable morality, as she steals rain from neighbouring kingdoms and even goes as far as attempting to kill Pelpel when he discovered her identity. Despite seemingly having Tikal’s interests at heart, she attempts to destroy it in a fit of anger, risking the lives of all her subjects, although this was partially due to her believing that she was betrayed by her citizens.
She is also excited with the powers of other Tianshang Weapons when she acquired them, and was dedicated to master them and achieved so in a short period of time.
Fighting style and abilities[]
Using the Storm Wheels, Zuma is able to channel lightning and rain, and to ride lightning bolts at incredible speeds. She is a competent fighter, able to take on Veruca and Alfred for brief periods of time. She tends to fight in the typical manner of one using the Wheels, using her lightening-riding ability to move around faster than the eye can follow, and using them like typical blades.

- Her name may be based on Moctezuma Xocoyotzin, the ninth emperor of the Aztec Empire.[source?]
- Zuma's evaluation is unique among the franchise. She is not entirely an evil and is indeed partially heroic, and wasn't depicted to be redeemed in the end.
